The Upper Peninsula of Michigan contains 1600 square miles of
wilderness and semi wilderness areas that during the winter months are always
blanketed by a winter blanket of snow and in which temperatures rarely move
above the freezing mark. Beautiful forests of Pine, Cedar, and Spruce thrive
and marshlands and lakes dot the landscape where wildlife abounds.
All age groups thoroughly enjoy the Dog Sledding Adventures offered by several
of the areas Mushers. Most will customize these trips to fit your schedule
but they generally run from 2 hours to overnight adventures. Some include
a lunch and campfire. You can even drive your own team of sled dogs.
Please contact the Dog Sledding Outfitters listed below for more information
and to plan your dog sledding adventure.
